| Keewatin Fire Department Awarded $3000 September 5, 2023
The Keewatin Fire Department was awarded $3,000 to help replace fire boots. Many of the departments' former boots were expired, according to the NFPA guidelines that say gear needs to be replaced every ten years. The Keewatin Fire Department had this to say about the grant funds, "This grant will benefit our department immensely. We are a small department with limited funding and to replace 21 sets of boots cost $11,760 which would have put a financial burden on our small operating budget. We are extremely grateful for the donation!" |
